I haven't logged in, in so long I thought I lost this thing!  Real quick update everything is well, we've done a bone graft and braces are on!  So much to update too late tonight will write more tomorrow... wonder if they have an app for this.. probably!

School's almost out!

Kaden has almost completed his Kindergarten year! Crazy how quick the time flies by. He has lost two teeth both of his bottom front ones. He lost his first one on New Years Eve night. His second one he lost in March. One of his adult bottom teeth is growing in crooked, it's on the same side that his cleft and top front tooth is crooked so I don't know if that is contributing to the bottom one being crooked nothing that braces won't fix :)

We go up to Portland next Monday for his annual visit at the CDRC Cleft Clinic. We haven't been there for a year and a half. So I am looking forward to this visit. He's doing great in school and no speech problems. I am only concerned right now with his teeth but I know I have to be patient on that. Especially since he still has almost all of his baby teeth :)

Since I've wrote last we got a puppy, her name is Bella she's a chihuahua Terrier mix. She looks nothing like a terrier but she has the the personality of one.

I think that's all for now. Kaden is doing excellent in school he's adding, subtracting, some multiplying. He's reading well, writing well and all of his report cards have been excellent.

Welcome! This is a current blog under contruction, I will be adding "past things" stories pictures as time allows :)

We have kindergarten roundup Thursday, my baby is going to be going to kindergarten I can't believe it! the time goes by quick. He's doing great though, he's learned to tie his shoes with help from teachers at school. He's GREAT at recognizing letters, we are working on numbers. He can add though! sometimes he can do it in his head and sometimes he uses his fingers, he's funny because he will ask me what equals what and i will say the answer, then i ask him well how do you know I'm answering it right, he goes "i just know mom". He's excited for Kindergarten but he's more excited about Disney Land this summer! We will be in California for a week, then Arizona for a week long nice vacation! right after he gets out of pre-school, going into kindergarten.

We have finally over come the mysterious cough he had for months, and I'm not kidding when I say months. It started around his birthday at the end of Jan, and he was finally diagnosed with beginning pneumonia in April! That also includes about 3 or 4 trips to the dr's office! ughh but I'm glad it's finally gone. One of our appointments ended with a sinus infection diagnosis, he woke up with a swollen eye one day thought oh it's just a spider bite or some sort of bug it will go away, well the next day it was worse, it wasn't bothering him, wasn't hard it was soft so I took him in and the dr who treated him said there are sinuses behind the eye and sometimes if they get too backed up it can cause swollen eyes! Here is a picture... the first picture is day 1, the second is day 2, poor baby!















with some antibiotics his eye was all better with in about 2 days.

He's showing alot of interest in soccer! So I will be signing him up this fall. Should be interesting.

Holy crud over 2 years!

So talk about a HUGE slacker! omg, i can't even begin to start using every excuse in the book ha. I'll save it though :)

By now my little man, is really a little man :) he is 4.5 years old! Where did the time go?

Hmmm, ok well I will do as best as I can to update..... Kaden had been getting speech services through RVMC Rehabilitation services, he did wonderful there last time we went just a few months ago she said he was doing awesome! and we haven't been back since.... I have been helping him with his speech though like when he says a word wrong I say it the right way and then have him repeat. Certain words he even repeats himself automatically. He FINALLY got into head start! He was in the Full Day Full Year part from about March until July! I'm more than positive he will be going back for this year and then kindergarten next year! ahhh.

He had his tubes replaced last month, we had went to Portland in June and he failed his hearing test in his right ear, I think that was the first time he's failed! I was emotional at that time although I hid it :) So we met with the ENT here in Medford she agreed to put regular tubes in his ears so we had those placed. He did awesome as usual he went back with the nurses like it was no big deal and when they brought him back from recovery he was sitting up like nothing just happened! We went home shortly after and he was up running around all day.....

We also had a visit from my mom & sister Yasmine in May/June. We got to do alot of things it was great! We went to the coast, we went to the Portland Zoo, Kaden and I went back to the coast in July w/ Krystal & Marina. This summer has been alot of fun I'm kind of sad it's coming to and end but next summer will be just as fun if not funner because we are going to VEGAS for the 2009 conference!

It's been a long while huh..........

Well obvioulsy i'm bad at keeping up on these things.

Kaden is now 27 months and he acts like he's 5 . Boy do we have fun times round here :)

Well in Jan he got his tubes replaced because they were clogged consintly and so that would lead to infections we were all sick of it. So we got a new set. He has a t-tube in his left ear & a regular tube in the other. At his 6 week check up the ENT had thought his t-tube fell out so we schedualed replacement surgery for that. So we go in there Kaden goes back to the OR and ENT makes the insision come to find out that the tube was really there it just fell behind his ear drum and it closed over. So she still put a brand new one in there and we have't had ANY ear problems since! It's great!

He has also started speech thereapy although we only get to see them 1 time a month for 30 mins. But he's comming along sooo far by himself he says soo much now, he even says names! one of his therapists says he has really good closure and she can't hear any air escaping which is AWESOME! She even said he says the "g" sound really well and most kids his age can't so i'm happy about that. We go up to Portland in June later than his 6 months but all of the dr's are going on vacation & what not so thats the only time the scheduales met up. He will see,
ENT, Speech, Vision, Audiology, Social Worker, Nurse Practioner. I'm going to try to get the pediatric Dentist in that too, but not sure yet. As i am waiting for my worker to call me about his dental plan.

Then in August we are going to Arizona to visit Grandma, Heather, Yasmine then we are driving up to Sedona for the weekend to visit with Great Grandma & Grandpa, Uncle Scott & Josh. I can't wait for that it's been over a year since my mom & grandparents have seen Kaden he's changed SOO Much since they have seen him.

So not much has been going on. I need too update with pictures i know! Tomarrow we are joining the Y I hope Kaden has fun there I'm sure he will.

I'm gonna go pick up my house while he's napping..

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, Everyone.

Kaden & I spent the day at home. Yesterday (Christmas Eve) Uncle Scott & Cousin Josh came over we exchanged gifts, Kaden got a bike from uncle scott & grandma, grandpa. It's his first bike! He loves it! Also got a stuffed puppy. Then we ate dinner, and watched Forrest Gump.


Kaden crashed early, but then woke up later. We went to bed, Santa didnt come to our house until 7am! lol, then we got up about 9 and he saw the toys santa brought a BIG Tonka Dump Truck, with a hard had and sand tools, and a BIG Sponge bob blanket, it's sooo soft.

It's Been a while

Well gosh it's been a while sorry for not keeping up. For a while i didnt have access to a computer everyday & if i did was was dial up so not my favorite. Being is I am spoiled with Cable :)

Kaden is HUGE, he's 21 months 22 @ the end of this month. He is doing very well, we went up to Portland to see his cleft team this last Monday everyone loved him and they were all soo nice. The Speech pathologist is going to work extra hard to get Kaden into Early Head Start or private speech. Either one i will be pleased with. Just as long as it's soon. He saying words but not as many as i'd like. His list of words include...

I think that's it for now, well except I returned to work, Kaden is in daycare LOVE her and he does too. and we finally got our own place! Kaden has his own room... :)
